Encinitas

In my turmoil over water, the most ironic thing happened.  While driving across the desert, from Arizona to California, clouds formed and raindrops tenderly sprinkled down on our van.  The place that I had been avoiding, the desert, was the most gracious to give us rain!  Small blessings…

Blessings were around us, and more family time was on the horizon as we reserved a long weekend together.  I was back in the kitchen cooking – yay!  Henry couldn’t get enough television, and we all basked in the sun and jumped in the surf.  We explored the local towns of Encinitas and Carlsbad while finding a favorite hot spot, Campfire, for dinner, and Eves for a yummy vegan lunch.  Henry’s margarita pizza wish finally came true!  But our personal favorite was gliding along on beach cruiser bikes; we radiated nostalgia and smiles each evening, loving every moment of our time together.

Before saying goodbyes and well wishes for our last week in transit, we headed to the San Diego Zoo.  Henry grabbed the Canon, once again, took to the outback vignettes, and captured movement on film.  Fun! Fun!
