Four Corner Spread

Have you ever played twister between four states?  We have!  Cheesy, yes, but this provided a great photo op.

Before leaving Cortez, CO, we ran into a little “angel” who guided us to a regional treasure, the Dolores River, where we dappled in artwork, and played in the water.

Early the next morning, as we drove further into the Navajo reservation, we saw some dusty old signs for Dino Tracks.  Definitely ready for a stretch, we drove in for a peek, and were instantly amazed.  Dare I say, better than a museum, here was track after track, impressions from Compsognathus, Velociraptors, and even a T-Rex, which spanned nearly the length of Henry’s body.  Vertebrae were strewn about, as was fossilized fecal matter or coprolite.  Even a Pterodactyl skull, body, and wing was nearly unearthed, seemingly making its way into the modern world.  For a dino enthusiast, or simply an enthusiast of life, this was a hidden gem near Tuba City, AZ.

  2. Thomas wonders:

How do they have such fresh footprints when dinosaurs went extinct a long, long time ago? Do you think there are still dinosaurs around?

  3. That photo of Henry sprawled out at the four corners is great. We looked up that spot on the map and could just imagine how Henry was lying down.

    How cool
Sir Henry seemed to be enjoying having his body spread over 4 states all at once
